NEW YORK, N.Y., November
19, 2001 - The McGraw-Hill Companies' (NYSE: MHP) Construction
Information Group (CIG) and the National Association of Home Builders
(NAHB) today announced a strategic alliance that unites the nation's
largest and most influential builders association with the construction
industry's leading product marketplace.
The agreement calls for the co-branding of CIG's Sweet's Division
Residential Catalog File and Residential Directory-the industry's
leading product catalogs for home builders and remodelers-and for
NAHB to provide editorial content to the Sweet's Product News periodical.

extending its reach to more than 205,000 NAHB home builder, remodeler
and associate members.
The alliance opens the most influential and active audience in the
residential building and remodeling market to building product manufacturers
and service providers who use Sweet's. NAHB members will receive
complimentary copies of both popular catalogs, and links between
sweets.com and nahb.com will allow all members to access Sweet's
Residential Marketplace online.
"The National Association of Home Builders is one of the finest
organizations in construction and certainly one of the most important
to McGraw-Hill's Construction Information Group and Sweet's. We
are extremely delighted to align ourselves with NAHB and look forward
to a mutually beneficial relationship," said Norbert Young, president,
