NEW YORK – October 1, 2015 – Dodge Data & Analytics (http://construction.com/) will present its 77th annual forum for construction and economic leaders, the 2016 Dodge Construction Outlook Executive Conference, on October 29-30, 2015 at The Ritz-Carlton, Washington DC. To register, visit http://construction.com/events/2015/dodge-outlook-2016/.
The event is expected to draw more than 300 attendees from building product manufacturing, design and architectural, contracting, engineering, and industry association firms to hear influential speakers, network with peers, and gain insights into the industry’s prospects for the coming year.
Featured speakers include M. Arthur Gensler Jr., FAIA, FIIDA, RIBA, Founder of Gensler, and representatives from AECOM, Chicago Metallic/Rockfon, Legrand, Oldcastle Building Envelope, and Standard & Poor’s. CNBC Economist & Senior Contributor Lawrence Kudlow will present the luncheon keynote address.
The event closes with the highly anticipated 2016 Dodge Construction Outlook, a mainstay in construction industry forecasting and business planning, presented by Robert Murray, Chief Economist & Vice President, Dodge Data & Analytics.
According to Murray, “The construction industry has moved towards a more broad-based expansion in recent years, with a shifting contribution by major sector. The residential upturn continues to be led by multifamily housing, and 2015 is seeing a hesitant return to growth by single family housing after its 2014 pause. Nonresidential building is showing strengthening by its institutional segment, notably educational facilities, yet the established upturn for commercial building has experienced some deceleration. Public works and electric utilities registered gains during the first half of 2015, but by midyear that elevated pace had subsided.”
Will the overall construction expansion be sustained next year? The 2016 Dodge Construction Outlook, to be delivered at this year’s conference, will examine this question by discussing the upcoming prospects for major sectors of the construction industry.
The 2016 Dodge Construction Outlook Executive Conference is produced by Dodge Data & Analytics. Silver Sponsors include Alliant, American Institute of Steel Construction, ConstructionPoints, and Hill International.
