Architectural Record's Continuing Education App Recognized by BtoB Magazine
June 11, 2012 - New York, NY
A continuing education app by McGraw-Hill Construction's Architectural Record (http://www.ArchitecturalRecord.com) was named as one of 10 top digital media products in a 06/08/12 BtoB Magazine article, "Great Media Websites." The article, available at http://bit.ly/GreatSites12, recognizes business media companies that have successfully navigated the digital shift..
Architectural Record's CEU app, which is sponsored by Armstrong Ceiling & Wall Systems, enables architects, LEED APs, and other AEC professionals to learn, take tests, and earn continuing education credits for licensure and association membership. By taking courses on their smart phones and tablets, AEC professionals can earn American Institute of Architects (AIA) CEU credits and Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) continuing education hours for U.S. Green Building Council LEED credential maintenance. The app offers hundreds of free courses, a Credit Tracker with a record of tests and credits earned, credit reporting to the AIA, a certificate of completion for successfully passed tests, and downloadable courses for future and offline viewing. The app is available in the iTunes App Store. .
Keith Fox, president of McGraw-Hill Construction, said, "We expect increased adoption of mobile tablets and smartphones to lead to more product innovation, bringing about new ways to engage with architects and the design and construction community, as well as new ways for our sponsors to deliver impact."
The "Great Media Websites" honor is the latest in a series of awards received this year by Architectural Record and ArchitecturalRecord.com. Earlier this year, Architectural Record was named to BtoB Magazine's Media Power 50 list, and won several awards from ABM, including the Grand Neal Award, ABM's top Neal Award for overall excellence, and awards for the Best Use of Social Media, Best Integrated Package for "New York: The Death and Life of a Great American City," and Best Single Issue of a Magazine for its September 2011 issue about 9/11, ten years later.
