Data Center Evolution:
Sustainability in Mission Critical Facilities
August 1, 2012
2:00 – 3:00 p.m. EDT
Data centers built for socially responsible tech companies such as Google and Apple are becoming the proving ground for a new breed of innovative designers and contractors that are pioneering methods to reduce power consumption and improve sustainability. Facebook’s Data Centers in Oregon, North Carolina and Sweden are on the cutting edge of this movement towards sustainability, with green strategies such as electrical systems that require fewer power conversions, simplified air handling systems using evaporative cooling and servers designed to operate in higher temperature and humidity ranges. At the same time, the data center sector is expanding to serve the needs of smaller firms with multi-tenant facilities. This webinar will address how these sustainability efforts will evolve within this rapidly changing data center marketplace.
