The Port Authority aggressively sought to offer business opportunities to MWSBEs in 2013, which by year-end, yielded $419 million in MWSBE spend. Of that total, $327 million, or 78 percent, was attributed to construction awards and subcontractor payments. The $327 million construction spend represented 18.2 percent of total agency construction spend.
