According to the nation’s 11th 5-year plan, China aims to cut her energy consumption per capita GDP by 20% from 2005 to 2010. NDRC’s newly released 2007 annual report of energy consumption shows, however, over 50% of the goal is yet to be met while half of the time has passed. As a huge energy consumer, the construction sector is of particular concerns. On this panel, Chinese energy conservation experts will share with the audience what has been accomplished, what’s being worked on, and openly discuss the government’s policy orientation and implementation measures; our international experts who are deeply involved in many related projects in China will exchange their point of views.
