Integrated Project Delivery: Enhanced BIM Collaboration

AIA New York, NYC Metro BIM, a buildingSMARTalliance interest group, in collaboration with New York Construction/ENR Magazine invites you to an industry event to introduce Integrated Project Delivery and BIM Collaboration. Integrated Project Delivery, developed by the AIA, is a  process to assist owners, designers and builders to move toward better integrated delivery methods and improved design, construction and operations processes. The goal of the conference is to identify the characteristics of IPD and to provide specific information and guidance on how to utilize IPD methods to achieve better projects.  An introduction of IPD will be presented, including an overview, legal concerns and how BIM can be used as collaboration tool, and then a panel of  east coast based experts will present their unique perspectives on how IPD is changing their roles, changing the delivery process and how it can improve projects from design through construction. Some of the concepts to be presented are:
