COLLABORATIVE BIM: Transforming the Design and Construction Process Project
Project teams are learning that when Building Information Modeling (BIM) is combined with exciting new collaborative processes like Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), owners, design professionals, clients, contractors, and suppliers can work together in highly productive new ways. This interactive session will explore how companies are leveraging collaboration to take BIM to the next level of effectiveness.
The First 50 registrants will receive a hard copy of the Smart Market Report on BIM FREE! The 48 page McGraw-Hill Construction SmartMarket Report on BIM is the first comprehensive research study to examine how BIM users are deploying new technologies and integrated processes to achieve value. The Report is based on in-depth interviews with hundreds of owners, design professionals and builders who are currently using BIM, and also includes case studies, interviews with industry leaders and a special “Introduction to BIM” to further understand the BIM phenomenon. |

The ACE Mentor Program is the fastest-growing high school mentoring program focusing on careers in the design/build industry. The nationwide organization’s mission is to encourage high school students to pursue design and construction careers through career presentations, onsite visits, and by collaborating as a team to design an original project.
Students from the Chicago ACE affiliate will present their team projects and illustrate how they integrated BIM throughout the design and presentation process. They represent the new generation of future designers who are equipped with cutting-edge building modeling skills to meet the complex and changing needs of our industry.
